Since 1986, Laura has been a dynamic music educator in both public and private sectors. As owner of The Music Loft since its founding in 2010, Laura brings a wealth of experience and passion to the academy. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the renowned Crane School of Music and two Master’s degrees in Music Education and Public School Administration from Long Island University.
Laura has conducted award-winning orchestras in New York and Virginia, developed music curricula, and created impactful community programs like NoVa Youth Ensembles and the Play it Forward Instrument Donation Drive. Her dedication to community arts has earned her honors, including the Distinguished Volunteer and Arts Leader awards.
Known for her engaging, fun approach, Laura instills confidence, creativity, and a love of music in her students. Outside of teaching, she enjoys performing locally on bass and violin, spending time with family, and celebrating her New York roots.
